Let's Intercede

Today, We Pray For Those On The Verge Of Giving Up

Lord Jesus, we bring to You those who have really reached the end of their tether. For those of us who want to give up on our faith, church going, family life, relationships, work, friendships, ministry and many other tasks entrusted to us. We lift each one of us today to Your presence in a special way, for that anointing and grace which only You can give. Send us angels to help us, Lord. When we face harsh judgment, loneliness, illness, and rejection, let us know that it's not from You, but from Your creations or the evil one. Help us to take the next step with Your peace. Amen.

Let's Join The Battle As One Intercessory Team!

Jesus promised, "If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:10).
God is calling us Christians to come together and join His battle for this world. He is not looking for perfect prayer warriors, just willing hearts who want to see His will come to pass on the earth. All you have to do is turn to the Lord in prayer:

"Father, I come into your presence and ask you to give me the heart of an Intercessor. Help me to be persistent in prayer until the breakthrough comes. Thank you for this powerful weapon of spiritual warfare - and for your faithfulness in my life, in Jesus' name. Amen.

What is Intercession?

Intercession is a powerful spiritual weapon that cancels the plans of the devil against the people of God and establishes our Lord's plan. It is the key to God's battle in our lives. But the battleground is not of this earth, it takes place in the spiritual world. The Bible says, "We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and spiritual powers in the heaven's above."
Scripture tells us that when we say prayers of Intercession, we are building bridges between God and the people for whom we pray.

Power of Intercession

Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means shall hurt you." God has given us both authority and power over the enemy.

Power Of Prayer and Fast

We Christians today are living in a day of great crisis. Persecutions are rampant and the threat of genocide has become a reality in some parts of the world. Along with this, the judgment of God to destroy mankind too is looming at large because sinfulness is on the rise. What could save us is earnest prayer accompanied with fasting. This has been the way in which God saved people down through ages and we see this in the following scriptures:

(1.)  2 Chronicles 20:3 Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and he proclaimed a fast for all Judah.
(2.)  Nehemiah 1:4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.
(3.)  Esther 4:16 "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and the maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
(4.)  Daniel 9:3 So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with Him in prayer and petition, in fasting and in sackcloth and ashes.
(5.)  Joel 1:14 Declare a holy fast: call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the Lord your God, and cry out to the Lord.

'Fasting purifies the soul. It lifts up the mind, and it brings the body to subjection to the spirit. It makes the heart contrite and humble, scatters the cloud of desire, puts out the flames of lust and enkindles the true light of chastity.'
